RMP Close Protection Loadout
22 June, 2013, 12:55
As the Tittle says guys I'm thinking of doing an RMP CP Loadout, ive had a look round on google at the pics it seems fairly easy just the normal uniform some form of plate carrier looking at RICAS OR RAV and either an M4 variant or an MP5 well something along them lines anyway.
Tell me what you think to it.
Regards
George

Re: RMP Close Protection Loadout
Weapon is either a HK53 if you are looking at an older loadout of a C8CQB if you are looking at a more recent loadout.
Currently, I believe there is a mix of RAV's (in both Coyote Tan and Sage Green) and Ospreys in use by them, and to my knowledge they weren't ever issued a RICAS/CIRAS.

Re: RMP Close Protection Loadout
Cheers mate, i wasn't far off for saying I've just been going off pics from Google, i cant seem to find any recent images from afghan only been able to find ones where they are still in DDPM instead of mtp. not 100% sure whether to go with a new up to date load out or one from a few years ago i have both mtp and ddpm so its fairly easy to go down either line really.

Re: RMP Close Protection Loadout
Pretty much the only difference will be the uniform. Weapon, armour and helmet will be much the same.

Re: RMP Close Protection Loadout
I served in the RMP in NI and knew the CP guys, for a pre mtp load out you need CS95 trousers, shirt, sas smock, black boots. The red beret was not worn, usually a navy one with a blacked out RMP capbadge or the principles unit headdress with the RMP cap badge. An uncle mikes drop leg holster was worn for a Sig P226, the HK53 was used as was the hk MP5K. As for rig, a purpose made CP vest was worn, these can still be found if you look hard enough.

I believe that's his underwear.
Now that's dedication to a loadout right there :p

It could very well be one of the maroon shirts worn by the 16th air assault well if your going of what the rest of them have stuck to their arms it could be possible
