Real army issue vest?
25 August, 2014, 13:10
Hi all.
Getting a few bits as I don't have any gear other then a belt and holster lol.
I got this vest for £6 with 2 SA80 mag pouches on a boot sale yesterday.
It feels very strong so it should be ok.

Also what would be the best way to connect none holsters and pistol pouches to a molle vest?
My real glock 17 safety holster is what I would like to use on the vest.

Thanks for any advice and information.

Re: Real army issue vest?
Some holsters, like the blackhawk SERPAs and the Safariland polymer models can be fitted with a molle adapter plate that allows it to be attached to MOLLE. However, I don't think they are available for yours.
Which leaves you with two options that I can see:
wear a seperate belt with your pistol holster on it.
Get inventive with cable ties, to attach the holster to the molle.

You can cable tie that quite easily. It's done all the time on real gear so won't be a drama!

Re: Real army issue vest?
I got a desert belt so I will probably keep the pistol on that then.
But I might try add my pistol pouches to the vest as gas mag are heavy and really pull down on the belt.
Thank you both I will get some pics when I am done, but it will be a newbie setup so nothing special lol.
Cheers.
