  • Footwear I.D.

Could someone ID these boots? I've looked on the bates footwear site, and these look very similar to the Navy Seal tropic boots, but the tread is all wrong. On the sole they say "Bates Durashock". Anyone one know what they are? They're from someone in the RAF if that helps?

(And yes, I am aware I need to give them a good clean! :p)

Look, these are definately legit Durashocks, I just need to find out which ones. I doubt the RAF has such a low budget its started to issue repros...

what they are, are the 80's british jungle boots, looks like they have been re soled to the bates durashock soles,

the only soles that thos sorts of boots were
vibram, panama and some other one but not that, hence why they look to be re soled!

That could be it... but I got them in brand new condition? If they were resoled would they be worn....?

(Also just seen these do say Vibram underneath Durashock on the sole.)

They arent the 80's jungle boots. I own a pair (issued) and the tread is different and you get a metal plate in the bottom. They are the Durashock jungle boots, but they arent issued. Just a knock off version.

NP dude. You can tell they arent issued cos the issue ones dont have such a high height of rubber on the side from the sole of the boot. If i could find my pair, id post a picture, but i think their in the attic with my desert kit...

Yeah, I only asked as they are incredibly comfortable. They didn't take much breaking in, and I can wear them for hours quite happily.

Looking at the bootom of the boots and a big BATES logo beinf in front of the yellow tab i would say they are the BATES jungle type boots mate
