SAS - Black/Blue Kit
9 November, 2010, 16:53
I am toying with the idea of putting together an SAS load-out for urban games. I am a novice when it comes to this sort of knowledge and have tried googling for images but I am convinced that a lot of the pictures are SO19 and not actually SAS. What SMG's do you think the SAS would currently use? Would it be full stocked MP5's? Also what would the best style of vest to use?

Re: SAS - Black/Blue Kit
I wasn't sure as some Police units are using G36C's and when they dress in black you can't tell between the two. As we haven't had an Iranian Embassy sieges recently so that you definatley know they are SAS it is very difficult to tell.
Edit: I have tried the search facility on here but most threads don't come up with any definate answers.

Re: SAS - Black/Blue Kit
They are very two different units :D
You can definatley tell the difference between the two, I find anyway. Usually SAS aren't patroling heathrow airport or arresting scum. :p
But yeah, Sliding stock, torched Mp5 and your done. Try not to go for accurate kit as it'll cost a fortune

Re: SAS - Black/Blue Kit
They use MP5's with:
Sliding stocks
Full stocks
Torch grip
Navy and SEF trigger group styles(navy being the newer version)
2 point slings.

Half of the people on zeroin are ex-sas, or currently serving in the regiment, so you shouldn't have a problem getting some hard information.

What the Anson coveralls that they have never been issued?
Anson use the nato pattern that many other suppliers like Derby et al use.

Actually, it's usually someone's dad/other realtive or dad's mate. Infact, I'm not sure there's any teenage airsofter who doesn't know someone in the SAS or ex-SAS at least, but anyway...
Is it out of the realms of possibility the G36 is used, for the very same reasons the Police are now using them? After all, when was the last time we saw a SAS CT unit?

I personally would be very surprised to see SAS CT wing using a G36C.
But as you say, who knows

Re: SAS - Black/Blue Kit
G36C are in the armoury but the last picture i was lucky enough to be shown had L119A1 in 10" or 10.5" (whatever) format.
The 36C is used for when they work with Police Teams to blend in a bit i guess?
