Re: British PARA Loadout?
Read British loadout thread. Paras are exactly the same as the rest of the army, except for the para smock and para helmet (MK7 on ops). The maroon beret might upset some people, so go for a floppy hat or helmet instead. Same goes for the para smock and wings. Your choice though. Noone can stop you.
Webbing, SA80, DPM trousers, jacket, green or brown t-shirt and black boots.
Desert loadout, use MTP.

Re: British PARA Loadout?
Also, what battalion? Mostly for Para it is standard British Army with different badges, although I would suggest not replicating those, or the cap badge/beret - its just bound to cause you grief.
Basically at the moment it's MTP and an Osprey, although might get away with warrior ricas/ricas compact. Helmet would be a Mk7, but they aren't available, so a soft hat or Mk6/Mich2002 with cover. You'll want a modernised L85 or a Minimi, with correct optics.
Or
Go 1Para, which is SFSG and you have a whole different range of potential gear. It's basically MTP/multicam, an L119A1, and I think a PASCUT/SOHPC for helmet and rig. but I really don't know, so don't quote me on that, there's a whole section of the forum thats more in touch with what SF are doing, and 1Para fall under that.

Re: British PARA Loadout?
Make sure you get the Para smock which has the flat at the back. If you are looking for modern then you either have an option for osprey/assault vest. Or use what they have got in training (webbing).

Re: British PARA Loadout?
DZ Flash right sleeve, under parachute wings. Brigade TRF left sleeve. Para smock worn baggy and unbloused. Slings are optional, they prefer to keep their weapons at hand. For some reason they tend to rock the long pointed sideburns look. Remember to bring extreme self confidence, bordering on galaxy size arrogance.
Any opinions expressed by me may not be mine. I don't have opinions anymore. I have a mortgage and teenagers. I used to be a wild, party animal. Now I buy my trousers at M & S.

Back on topic, Dragon Supplies in Colchester are doing some of them groovy 80's trop lightweights which are apparently "ally" (in my day, we said "warry" or "steely eyed"). They have their trials shirts and trousers at very cheap prices.
