Probably got deleted as their was a bunch of dicks ruining the thread by arguing and being walts ect , same as always happens with the uksf threads on here .

The problem was the amount of circular arguments it caused. As for people calling each other walts and such that is one of the KEY reasons these threads end up and shit storms.

Some of us never claim to have served or be one of "them". If you feel the need to call the people interested in that sort of stuff names just be the bigger man and don't go on the thread. You lot don't go on the the USSF threads or the USMC threads. But those are just as "waltish" as the UKSF thread.

Plus this forum is prone to these arguments, they DO NOT happen on the other 2 forums that have decent sized UKSF threads. Basically, if you want to find some decent info on the kit and weapons used by UKSF and their support arms, don't look here for it. The information you will get will be drowned out by the complete arse gravy these threads always end up as here.

gravy you say I love drowning my food in gravy and most of the arguments were caused because people couldn't accept that the clothes worn by the uksf changes due to operational requirements for example they may have to wear civlian clothes most of these "walts" couldn't accept this.

proof uksf wear ordinary clothes! I bet a little part of rastablasta just died after seeing this.

Guy's could we not bother dragging this out as normally happens. It's a waste of time and some people will just treat this as an excuse to throw their bottles out of the pram.

On the subject of walts , came across a thread on mil-photos about who where better Marines or Paras . It was filled with so many walts including a guy with a name tag " xx para sniper xx " who's brother was a para and the guy was pretending to be a para and just generally being a douche and a walt .
People who pretend to be parts of the military disgust me , I'm not in the military but am considering a carear in the army after University but it still makes me angry .

Yes, sadly it was removed. It was just becoming a nightmare to moderate. I closed it for a while and cleaned it up, posted warnings saying if the **** storm carried on it would be gone. 3 post later and it all turned to crap again so I removed it. I then bowed to a bit of pressure to give it one last go so I reinstated it. I think it lasted about 7 posts before it went south again, it even got to threats of violence, so that was it, endex!

So if you dont mind me asking why does this thread get out of hand? Is it the "know it all's?" when it wasnt just arguing it was a very good thread! Theres always someone that spoils it for everyone! Im on this forum and dont expect to sign up to other forums just to get the info i need! If knew how to and had the time i would quite happily moderate the uksf forum and just delete any inapropriate or irrelivant comments with out warning is there a setting in which you can just put pictures up with out comments? If its purely just for reference?

There are three types of people in the UKSF thread here.

Type one: Those who genuinely want to help others and give out information. These guy's are great although a little too serious sometimes. :p

Type two: Those who jump on others for not having accurate kit, flaming them for doing so. These people also think they 'own' the thread and know everything there is to know.

Type three: Those who jump into the thread to start arguments with the type two people. It doesn't happen on other forums only here. And that is in part because of the large membership base. Playing the margins there's going to be one out of every ten people that are going to troll/derail threads.

I honestly don't see the point in a UKSF thread having anything in it beyond "can you name these items on this guy in this picture". The rest is all just speculation and conjecture.

You missed

Type 4: Old ex serving types who make a marginally relevant comment, then go on to use the thread as a nostalgia chat room. Not the worst thing that happens there but it does derail things and clog it up.

Type 5: People wanting to do a "UKSF" loadout but then completely ignoring everything in the thread. (these are the main targets for type:2's which then leads to type 3's to waltz in and defend them purely so they can do some "walt bashing")

At the end of the day I will never attack a person because of the way they want to play airsoft (unless the way they want to play is to be a complete C nut and hurt as many people as they can and break as many rules as they can).

In my team of 12 I am the only one who is interested in unit impressions in any way shape or form. Does this make me a better player? No. Does it mean I am the one who spends the most on my guns and kit? No (but I am very nearly there). Does it mean I enjoy the the "dress up" aspect of airsoft? Yes, in the same way some people enjoy the gun collection side of it. I see no way the 2 are different. Except one is kit based the other gun based.

If you have no interest in UKSF loadouts why would you even read the thread let alone comment on it. I have no interest in discussing how to make a super speedy gearbox set up, so I don't even bother to read the threads, and I certainly wouldn't post on there unless I had some relevant information.

These problems are exclusive to THIS forum and solely to the UKSF (and associated) threads. They never occur on the USSF or other foreign SF or loadout threads. People use it as a trolling play ground. There is a reason almost everyone I know views this forum as pointless for anything other than sales, which is sad, because 2-3 years ago when I started softing, this was a good forum. Sadly now it isn't.
