  • MK6 helmet scrim netting etc...

hey guys planning on making my MK6 helmet look like the MTP MK7 ones the british have and well what do they use for that green lining around the bottom of the helmet i know you can buy a rubber green one from a certain auction, but to me when i go on images the soldiers are using some kind of fabric

    any ideas?

Fabric tape, not sure what the NSN is ive always nicked mine when the armourer aint looking. Type in CBRN/sniper/cam/NBC repair tape and you should find it.

As others have suggested NBC tape, or cut up a car tire inatube. Another idea is to grab a bit of scrim, make a draw string (theaded through) place over your helmet tie off and tuck it in under the helmet cover.

            All the best

you can cut the top off a NBC over boot and use that as that does fit well around a helmet

The best (legal) lookalike you'll get for a Mk7 is a MICH 2002 (the half ear one) covered and taped as the Mk7's tend to be.
