Re: Australian Sasr
I think I may attempt an SASR loadout, it seems reasonably easy.

Re: Australian Sasr
I have to eat my own words now. The elcan looks alright on there! I was expecting it to look very out of place. Still to big for my liking but I apologise to special bus for sounding like an ass right there

Shh you
I think I am leaning towards more of a scope than an aimpoint. The acogs just don't look right to me either hmm

Re: Australian Sasr
I know what you mean, I'd love to know what the issue scopes that the aussies use are, and if there was an airsoft replica. (Anyone!?!)

Re: Australian Sasr
We used Elcan sights in Australia when straying from the standard Austeyr sight system. Also if you want to stay authentic you need to use the MBITR radio system. Also do a search on the NINOX night vision system and NAD (Night Aiming Device) for the rifle. Taipan boots (Made in Australia) are also a popular choice.

Re: Australian Sasr
Also getting back to the mixed cams. This was only really seen in the MEAO (Middle East Area of Operations) in the early stages of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This was because we originally used the old chocolate biscuit DPCU's (Cams) prior to the introduction of the new desert AUSCAM system. There was not enough of either to go around. Also there was NO webbing or packs , etc available AT ALL! This led to the mixing of cams up until a few years ago. It is not done now as everything is available in large numbers. I had ten years in the Aus military and still have close ties.

Re: Australian Sasr
Just found this picture hidden away of me in game. I have to say I think it really shows how effective auscam really is in woodland.
