    Re: Australian Sasr

    hi all,

    Are they any other alternatives to the CIRAS? im not a big fan on massive vests or carrying ridiculous amounts of kit. Ive seen a couple of pics that almost look like the 6094 vest (probly not but similar) and light plate carriers with just chest rigs over the top (platypus rigs) or would that be the standard soldier?

    any help appreciated

    thanks

      I think the SASR use SOHPC's like the UKSF lot do. But don't quote me on that.

        Re: Australian Sasr

        Heres a question for you guys, and a bit of a thread revival. I am working on an AUSCAM look myself (it has been on hold for too long!), and I am going to go with the R93 Blaser as the base. Its a modern sniper rifle, King Arms make one, and it is NOT to everyones taste. I like it and plan on using it.

        I have seen pictures of AUSCAM Ghillies in use with the R93, but does anyone have anything on it being used with anything other than a Ghillie?

        A couple of photos for reference;

            Google image sasr Afghanistan and there's an image of one in DPDU, the sight the steyr uses stock is a Swarovski 1.5x optic and now the elcan has been rendered obsolete for use on the f88 and the acog has taken over. If any help is needed on a SASR, 2Cdo regt or any other Australian army load outs pm me I can help

              You could put info on here for all to see

              Here's a question for you, what are the optics used on the R93 Blaser?

                        This should help a little with those wishing to do an Aussie SASR loadout Also quite a good watch, too.

                          The optics that's used on the blaser are usually the Schmidt and bender from memory 8x to 12x

                          As for the fozzies, you poms can keep it, vb and bundy rum

                          And yeah dpcu is better than multicam, every man and his dog has a set.
