Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4

I've seen shotgun scabbards before but the way he carried it seemed a lot less intrusive and more lightweight.
If anyone has any idea of how I can try this that'd be much appreciated!

Re: Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4
Either he had it on a sling, and had it slung over his shoulder, or the developers used their 'creative licence' and just had the shotgun stay on his back through the medium of pixelated magic and trickery.

As far as I know, no such thing exists - but could be very easily fabricated by sewing some velcro straps onto your vest like that, so you can adjust how tightly they drip the gun for maximum retention and ease of drawing it.

Re: Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4
Problem with that is getting the thing off and on your back in a firefight, best thing would be a molle scabbard.

Re: Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4
The closest thing I have seen in use is this picture of a Force Recon marine
Looks do-able at home , maybe use a old dump pouch with the bottom cut out and velco-ed together ? This might be an pre existing product but I don't know the name , probably made by Eagle or Allied Industries .
.
Any offence taken from my posts is likely intended.

Re: Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4
got to remember, with CoD and **** like that they make there own stuff up, takes airsoft or military gear companies to see it and copy it (am sure theres a topic on the forums regarding a camo that CoD made next to a Lav25 so everyones aware they do it)
as for the shotgun, yeah its a good idea, but when your wearing all your kit (specially a helmet) getting you hand back there and to have they straps strong enough to hold it would need a fair bit of force from yourself to get it loose, and in a tight situation... not exactly the best thing to be worrying about, so for that a pistol would be a better option...
i bought a molle shotgun scabbard and it takes up four molle loops in length, hoever the way ive set mine it over hangs slightly so its only using 2, and my right hand and simply grab the grip and its out in a oner.... ill post a picture just now

Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4
Back of the vest, on the right, notice the molle loops, there doubled up, so they make up 4 (both sides), it uses molle loop straps that aren't attached to the scabbard itself, so this means the shotgun scabbard can be on the left or the right, depending on if your left or right handed.
back.jpg
Front of the vest, on the left the scabbard height, the intent shows where the shotgun grip should be.
front.jpg
This is the over hang i was telling you about, i made it attach to the last 2 molle loops on the vest, this makes its stick out slightly, but whack a pouch next to it like i have and its not a problem.
side.jpg
The top of the rig, you can see the over hang much better and the scabbard internals better
top.jpg
The only thing not mentioned, is the bottom of the scabbard is sealed, the scabbard can take both short and long type barrels, so theres no problem with that, works great and for £30 its worth the cash

My cousin was in iraq and came across an american sf with this style of shotgun on his back, its two wraps with strong velcroe backing on the vest, its used for entries really as its easily removable but not easily put back on yourself. And its not issue ofc

2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

Re: Lt Vasquez Shotgun CoD4
Gonna join the necro party!
Heres my tri shot with a slightly modded old TMC bungee sling
IMG_0554.jpg
This allows me to carry the gun diagonally across my back, with my body between the two lengths of the sling. The bungee has enough sprongy give to keep it nicely in place without it slipping about.
The clip arrowed in the pic below is on the strap that runs across the front of my body. It allows a one hand release of the sling v quickly, with my other hand reaching behind me grasping the pistol grip on the gun. Literally from securely strapped to realeased and pointed in a second. I only use a belt rig so I dont have any issues with it all getting tangled up with a plate carrier or whatnot
Note that the buckle I've used to join the ends of the sling together, near the front of the gun, is placed to prevent the sling becoming detached from the front sling point when the clip is released.
