Demolition loadout/Weapons. Help!
25 August, 2010, 17:35
I'm part of a team and have chosen the role of demolitions.
I need help choosing what weapons and gear to use.
Thus far I have chosen -
-A molle backpack
-Molle belt
-Molle bandoleer
-MP5K
-Pistol on a dropleg holster
-Claymores
-Remote detonated maroons
-Mines
Does anyone have any other suggestions on what gear to take?
Cheers.

Re: Demolition loadout/Weapons. Help!
Perhaps an M79 "thumper" ? And a huge chest bandolier of M203 shells?
You definately need some sort of grenade launcher
Lots and lots of thunderflashes, or Dynatech BFGs.
Id suggest a full size MP5 with sliding stock rather than the MP5k, so youve got something a bit beefier for woodland ranges, yet still agile with the stock collapsed for indoors use.

Or go for a Classic army Mp5k, bit better performance and once you whack a better hop in there you've got a beast.

Theres a new ICS GLM 40 which is another six shot grenade launher for about 160 quid. Simlar to that other one but has several ris rails and is easier to reload.
Talking to yourself is fine, its when you talk to yourself, argue with yourself and then refuse to talk to yourself that you need to worry.

I used to have an HK69, it was great and all but wasn't really skirmishable as you have to get really close to use it. Ended up being more of a novelty item.

Re: Demolition loadout/Weapons. Help!
Here's one of my teammates loadouts. ICS Grenade Launcher and MP5k with a MP5K Shoulder holster. Mounts his Mp5k one side (quick release) and 2 mags otherside
But indeed the thumper grenade launchers look awesome. My demolitions loadout is going to be S thunder pistol launcher, BFG's galore and shotgun.
40mm dropleg platform is a maybe though depends how weighty it would get full of 40 mm's

Re: Demolition loadout/Weapons. Help!
Surely a Dems loadout would be something lightweight but packed out with stuff like, um... Dems charges (maroons and the like) I dont see where the GL comes into it. Especially when you consider the role of GRENADIER.

Re: Demolition loadout/Weapons. Help!
Spose demo goes hand in hand with explosives hence the greande reference. as someones noted Team Fortress Demolition class. For airsoft remote claymore/dets galore really and pouches to hold it all.
GL would go well with it so basically everything in the loadout is for group killing rather than individuals. So yeah spose more Grenadier.
Demo - pistol and a grab bag full of remote dets/bfg's and start sprinting around laying traps
