      Re: Vest advice required

Thanks for the input but I have ordered an FSBE style black vest, comes with a triple pouch, admin pouch (with Velcro for sticking umbrella Corp patches to ) and a medic pouch. Should be enough to start me off.

      So I have:

      TM FAMAS
      Viper M88 Helmet
      S10 Gas mask
      Black FSBE vest
      Viper black tactical gloves

Now I am having issues finding the right top to go underneath the vest (I dont think i want
a "shirt" but at the same time i dont think i want a "jacket") and a radio/mic to use with my gas mask - it is proving difficult.

I suppose you want a UBACS then? Look up the Viper Spec Ops shirt, might be what you're looking for.
As for radio equipment to use in conjunction with an S10, you can either try to find an S10 microphone and spend time and money trying to get it to function, or you can get a throat mic.

The shirt you mentioned looks good, would i get hot in it?

And I have the microphone for the s10 but the connector is clansman only, throat mic looks like my only option, would need advice

No, quite the opposite, really! The shirt is made of mesh, and designed to be worn underneath body armour in hot weather. The sleeves are also removable with a zipper if need be.

Unfortunately, I can't really offer much advice on throat mics as I don't use one myself. What kind of radio do you have (if you have one already)? Then you can just look up on google or ebay for any headsets compatible.

sweet, I'll get me one of those tops.

And as for a radio I don't really have one yet, I need one cheap and cheerful that would be compatible with a throat mic :S

I'm afraid I didn't mate, but I will check that store out for the future.

Have you got a model number for those radios?

Ok its basically finished - I will post pics when I get the chance but it is made up of:

                  Viper M88 Helmet
                  S10 Gas Mask
FSBE style black vest (radio pouch on back, triple mag pouch, admin pouch, medic pouch on front)
                  Viper UBACS tactical top
                  Viper tactical gloves
                  combat trousers
Meindl Chainsaw boots (I felt the patrol boots were not hefty or imposing enough)
                  TM FAMAS
                  icom F22SR Radio
throat mic with ptt and clear-tube earpiece (very Agent Smith)
                  Umbrella Corp patches

All in lovely Black (they say you never go back... )

                  Pics soon...

Ooh, ooh, ooh, pistol, get a pistol.

buuut, it is an absolutely awesome loadout and that vest fits like a bloody glove. Maybe a new chinstrap for the lid to make it sit straighter but that just be me being a knob and nitpicking. Love the patches there mate i wonder where you got em, or did you get them made. Anyway again lovely loadout and by the way you look somewhat hench in that black kit.

I got some patches from the bay of e (very low qaulity) and the big one on my chest I got from a trading company specialising in blue tigers (wish i got all the patches from there but expensive at £6 each)

The helmet sits straight but my mate taking the picture failed to tell me - it's difficult to tell with all the gear on.

I've looked at pistols however it's a bit of an un-necessary expenditure for mainly a looks thing, thinking about getting a VSR as primary and using the FAMAS as secondary.
