So I watched the Unit episode Jonny B Goode a while back and quite liked the loadout they use.....



Here's my attempt...the picture quality is pretty poor as I used my PC's webcam, but hey ho! I'll post some better pics as and when I can be arsed taking some!

Replica M22 SPLAV Vest
AK47 with Small Silencer, CREE weapons light and C-More scope

I have a shemagh and some gloves to go with the loadout as well, but the pic shows the base of the loadout

Old picture crap....new picture much better. Worn today at Brit Tac/Cereberus jouint game in Leeds - yes it was the last game before Xmas game hence the silly hat. It kept my ears both protected and warm all day tho!!:

Watched the episode again and decided to re-do the loadout ... Not 100% faithful to the episode, but it's lightweight and practical:

The AK now has a KAC style silencer, and I'm waiting on a pistol holster for the vest, plus I think the night Dessie Jacket needs taking up a bit as it looks like a skirt at the moment!!

Liking it! Those night camo parkas are cut quite long, but you don't see very many (presumably because they never really worked) but as part of what I call a 'casual loadout' it certainly works very well.

Loadout finished.

It's probably my favourite loadout I've done in airsoft so far, as it didn't cost the earth to put together, it's comfortable to wear, 100% compatible with both an AK and an M4 (Both of which I have), it's pretty lightweight and really only has the essentials as I can see that an Operator on a Short patrol/Operation would need : Primary mags, Secondary and mags, small amount of load carrying for spare ammo, tools and snacks, and it's without without too many fripperies. I see guys who have bought MOLLE vests aching to find pouches and add on's to fill up spare MOLLE loops just for the sake of it.....I don't think you should be afraid to have bare bits on your vest.

I'm aware that there can be a little bit of hate for mixing OD and Deserrt gear bt I like the contrast.

No probs......I've always shied away from the hardcore US/Brit Spec ops style loadouts because A) Everyone seem's does them and B) they can be horribly expensive to set-up.

Not knocking the time and effort peple spend putting those loadouts together: Many of them look amazing, it's just that I prefer a much simpler set up.

I love this load out, not only is it functional, it's not OTT and its from the best USSF based program's on TV.
Its so good, I even have the soundtrack on my MP3 )

Cheers Sean ... much appreciated! I know the legs look bare with no knee pads or drop leg, but I like it that way; nothing to impede, hinder or come undone.

Knee pads piss me off at the best of times, they either end up round by your ankles (Kneepads people, kneepads!), twisted up or sticking themselves to each other via the powers of velcro.

I have looked at a lot of your loadouts lately and they are really inspirational due to their simplicity but awesome look.
