Re: lets talk germans, of the WW2 variety
welll...
the BDU's i got would appear to be panzer grenadier , not like the picture above, its an almost double breasted affair, in dot44 pattern, only the germans would do that and like so swav on the battlefield, unfortunately the set is the wrong size, so its going back, but the merchant was dead on and has already posted out a new set in the size i ordered, should be here tomorrow.

Re: lets talk germans, of the WW2 variety
got the dot44 gear today, and the mp40 and the webbing is here tomorrow, fingers crossed...
i'm unsure if the dot44 wil be worn on sunday cuz my god is it heavy, and i don't wanna pass out from heat stroke!
i'll get a photo or two up tomorrow if it all arrives.
Boris
## edit##
if any one has a picture of their webbing, slap it up, i wanna see how it all goes together, basic belt, y-strap rig with mp40 pouches.

Re: lets talk germans, of the WW2 variety
ok, the webbing came today, no mp40 as of yet, really hope it arrives tomorrow...
the webbing.
its a bitch the put together, and i couldn't find many help guides online, just picture refs and not the best tbh.
some advise. i got the long y-strap, for 6 foot soldiers, i got this cuz i'm 6,2 and quite broad, but it wasn't needed, the y-strap is huge, i have it adjusted as small as it will go and its just about working.
oh and its all leather, and metal studs, and hurts my thumbs, hopefully now its done i won't have to do it again as its taken me an hour to fix!
and then the mp40 pouches, it was fun trying to get these to sit right, but after about 10 minutes of playing about, and looking at ref's from google i got it. the basic mp40 set gives you 6 mag holders and a small pouche for a tool kit (smokes and lighter will go there)
i'll throw a picture up later tonight.
boris (with sore thumbs)

You getting a proper belt, or just running with that one? Looks ok I suppose, but it'd be better with the proper buckle. Good start though.

Re: lets talk germans, of the WW2 variety
You need to swap the mag pouches round. They need to be pointing inwards.
Heres a good reference

Re: lets talk germans, of the WW2 variety
oh my...
the MP-40 came today, its awesome, seriously good quality, of the MP-40's i've handled (Cyberguns, AGM and top) its the best, SRC Gen 3 for the win!
the mags are all metal, and weigh a fair ammount actually, fit perfectly in the webbing.
i'll throw a pic up later, or check out the pics thread where i'll throw it up too.

I must admit the germans looked so much beeter than the allies especially in officer dress I mean that was just damn classy
