Soviet Army Personal Equipment Model 59
22 September, 2012, 11:36
These are examples of Soviet Personal Equipment suitable for the nineteen sixties to the nineties.
From a Soviet army Dress regulation manual.
SKS Armed.
RPD Armed.
The Respirator Haversack is of a clip on pattern, even Russian collectors have not seen for sale, the Haversack was normally the shoulder strap type.
My examples.
This is an example of Equipment suitable for an AKM Armed Motor Rifleman, I've added the Soviet ABC Suit ( Atomic, Bacterial, Chemical ) or "Slime suit" as they called it.
The woodern ladels were the Conscript method to mark your kit, you write your name on it.
By swapping components you can use it as a bace for a AK47 or AK 74 Armed man.
AK 47.
AK 74, I didn't mount the Bayonet on this set.
The difference of material can be found in most of the difference in pattern of pouch.
The Early Bely and Yoke have grey painted metal fixtures, the later Olive Green/ Brown, the early yoke has D rings for the yet to be seen clip on Respirator Bag.
Enjoy.

The only things that are tricky are the RPD magazine pouch and Ssh41M gas mask bag. Well excluding the the ABC suit carrier which is damn near impossible.

Re: Soviet Army Personal Equipment Model 59
This is an update on the SKS Armed Soldat Equipment, a Stripper Clip Pouch which can hang below the Belt like the earlier Auxiliary Cartridge pouches did in the early Great Patriotic War 41 to 45 if you wish.
Enjoy.
