Clearly not an accurate impression :p
Don't think anyone produced a 74 specific one, what 74 are you planning on fitting one to?

Re: AK74 Handguard
Don't know about LCT, but I had a Romanian AIMS wood grip I put on my CYMA AK-74 with minimal modification. I'd imagine it would be about the same as they are quite similar in structure.
Then I realized the thing looks like a giant, floppy, donkey dick and took it off.
So I put the polymer furniture back on and drilled some holes to screw a rail onto it and mount a proper grip, BF3 style.
Fucking.
Worth.
It.

Re: AK74 Handguard
Oh you think the RomaniAK grip is bad.
To stay on topic, I'm not sure how many Russian contractors would honestly pick up a Romanian AK, especially as they've already been adeptly trained with the 74 and possibly AKM during conscription.

Re: AK74 Handguard
Nah, that AMD grip doesn't look as bad as the Romanian one. But those wire-stocks, oh God. Those are terrible.
And I agree, Russian contractors are not stupid enough to use AK copies from countries infamous for not having good quality control on their firearms. That, and Izhmash knows their shit when it comes to making AK's.

I have a cyma RPK which is basically the same and it is literally the best gun I have ever bought. It's like a fully auto sniper. Only thing is it will come out of the box hot. Mine was 450fps! Quickly settled to about 400 though. Then clipped spring down to 370fps and put in a metal toothed piston. I use it in support role which a drum mag and it's never gone wrong. Sturdy and quality build. Cyma rule!

Re: AK74 Handguard
CYMAs are amazing. You only need to open up the gearbox once to downgrade the spring, and it'll work for 2.5 years (maybe more, it's been two years since I got mine) with absolutely no gearbox maintenance. :D
I suggest getting the CM 040 series as they have proven to be the airsoft equivalent of a reliable Kalashnikov.

It's funny people can't believe it because they are soooo cheap. They have a new SVD single shot out its awesome. I ALWAYS USE MY RPK NOW!!!! It's so accurate all my other guns never come off the shelf. Thy have really good motors in too...
