TM M4 SOPMOD or TM SCAR L?

I'm looking to get a good, high end gun and I'm stuck between the TM SOPMOD and TM SCAR L. They are both high end pro-line guns and are roughly the same price. Is there any major difference in performance between the two? Does either have an advantage over the other in any way? What is you experience with either?

I've got both and I prefer the sopmod the recoil imo feels better other than that they both have similar range etc it's all about looks really do you want a folding stock and no quick change battery system? then go for the scar. If you don't mind the quick change battery system and the non folding stock then the m4.

Having owned both.... just taken posession of a CQB SCAR L.

I found the SOPMOD was a little creaky/wobbly in places (hence sold and upgraded to a Systema) whereas the Scar in comparison is pretty solid.

I'd go for the Scar L over the two.

I have both as well , I'd say Scar aswell . The quick change battery's in the Sopmod are a nice idea BUT stock there crap barly last half a day of 'normal' use and yes you can get upgraded Batt's but it's more cost on top so I've just converted mine to deans connector so I can run it on lipo's . As to my Scar , I love it i think it's a better all round gun than the sopmod (and a lesser extent the socom) I find it smoother operating and just a better gun , very happy with it .

I have a sopmod and had the pleasure of using a scar a little while back. Mines been upgraded to hell so was obviously going to be a LOT better than stock scar l. But was still impressed!

However might I suggest another option. The Scar-H? Owning a sopmod that'll be the next gun on my list. A proper man SCAR lol

Scar H's are purely for boys that clearly have a lot to make up for :P

^^^^ I think opinions such as that are petty. It's personal pref! 'L' is lovely bit 'H' is just a little different so that's the appeal for me. However of I got an 'L' I wouldn't have to buy a whole new set of mags, hmmmmm lol

LOL I know that's why I decided to discount getting the H because I needs it's own mags and seeing as there is no different calibres in airsoft I'd rather save a few quid seeing as I already have a bunch of M4/M16 magss lying around.

LOL I know that's why I decided to discount getting the H because I needs it's own mags and seeing as there is no different calibres in airsoft I'd rather save a few quid seeing as I already have a bunch of M4/M16 magss lying around.

If they're the recoil series you're looking at, don't they take specific mags anyway?

I have owned both of them,

Sopmod has a bit more recoil but the batteries are crap and a lot of parts come loose due to the recoil

The scar is a nice change to all the m4's and the blowback is a lot nicer than the Sopmod and more visible. The rof is also higher but the range on both is the same.

I prefer the scar due to the blowback, not having crap batteries, is different and is a more solid gun

If u like the M4 look, but don't want the crap batts, then what about the SOCOM? Classic M4 look which u can add existing rails to, and can take normal batts, and yes the recoils take proprietary mags... Unless u get the pipe adaptor :p
