Tell me what you think of this..

Just wanted some quick opinions on whether this doctorsight looks good on the M249.. took two pics with the front sight on and off.

And before anyone cries Eotech or whatever.. personally I think the size of this suits it more and my SCAR has my eotech on!

But yeah, does it work? Or is it an epic fail?






Mods I made this so it didnt just clog up pictures of your guns.. thought it would be more appropriate to ask a question relating to me in my own thread! And no im not just trying to show it off - genuinely want to guage opinion! haha

doenst look BAD

but it WOULD look better with some larger optics on there, acog, eotech, aimpoint or elcan

needs a nice rugged looking optic - but then again i do like doctor sights

I don't like it mate (sorry ). I would have to say get an ACOG on there. I usually hate sights on M249s but the ACOG does look good.

it doesnt look bad, but i think big gun = big optics

the doctor sight looks a bit lost on it

elcan scopes look the best imo

With a gun that big, a sight that small just looks ridiculous. If you don't fancy an EOTech or ACOG or whatever, what about one of those multi-reticle red dots instead?

This is my problem.. I'm a bit OCD about not having the same sight on two guns.. and I already have the multi-reticule on my MP5, ACOG on my M4, Eotech on the SCAR.

Suppose I could try an ELCAN..

do you not think that with a small sight like the doctor it doesnt interfere too much with the M249s shape though?

small sight = fail on the m249, a had one and it doesn't look good with many scops / sights, the only sight that does it justice is the eotech 552, right size for itand a good view...

if you have the eotech 552 on your scar, put a 551 on your m249. that way they are not the same
or if you have a 551 on your scar do it the other way around.
also it looks kinda cool with no front sight imo.

The ELCAN's look the best on an m249 i used a guys once mid firefight to put down covering fire and they look great and are nice to use.

ELCAN gets my vote any day for a 249.

Yeah they look sweet with Elcans on. Not to expensive if you get the ACM one either.

Have to agree with the majority, it just doesn't look right. ELCANS do look good but can upset the guns balance, making it a bit top heavy
