Nylon m4 lower receiver advice
11 March, 2012, 23:11
I need a new lower receiver for an ICS M4. Is it better to have metal lower receiver or nylon? Are the nylon ones any good ir is it still crappy plastic?

Re: Nylon m4 lower receiver advice
Nylon receivers will be lighter than a metal receiver. You could argue they are slightly stronger in a way too as they are less brittle than metal which means that there is some flex on impact if needed. However, as a general opinion I would go for a metal lower as the plastic around the magwell can be pretty thin sometimes.

Re: Nylon m4 lower receiver advice
Ive got a nylon body on my ics m4, its much more durable than the standard sportline plastic body. Nice trades and matt finish too on the asthetics side
cost vs benefits.... Go nylon!
