  • What is required for this conversion?

    Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me what is needed to take an m4a1 to an m16a3? specifically the g&p m16a3 with m203

    Thanks

M16 outer barrel, solid stock and a G&P M16/203 handguard, the gearbox will have to be rewired as well and an M16 length inner barrel fitted.

The easiest way to do this is to convert the M4A1 into cash, and then convert that cash into an M16.

      Good luck in your endeavour.
      Get it right roon ye!

        I'm looking at using a gbb m4 to make a custom m16.

Not to worried about the cost just if its possible

definately possible, trades would be wrong though. a while back me and a mate built a m16a3 from scratch in gbb format. very easy to do with basic knowledge of gbb's. the hardest part is getting them to function and fire correctly in my opinion. anything you need to know just ask or pm me i would be happy to help

WE make an M16 you'd still be cheaper flogging the m4 and buying the m16

You could just get the WE M16-A3 and a M203

In which case an m16 style buffer will need to be found

Correct, m16 ones are very different to carbine ones mate

yep, and i found not the easiest thing to source on its own, we ended up buying the full g&p set which includes the buffer tube and full stock for the wa system not cheap though
