Would a cyma m14 ris front end fit on my g&g m14?
I need to get rid of the horrible bakalite heat shield.

Re: Quick g&g M14 question
It should fit... however you should be murdered for considering ruining the elegance and purity of an M14 with those horrible tacky RIS rails.

As above.
There's only two things that you should put on an M14; a bipod and a hoofing big scope:

Re: Quick g&g M14 question
i've never seen the point of scopes on airsoft guns. Though i've never owned a gun with enough range to need a scope, i've had a go of a sniper and it seemed I would have just as much luck with my eyes shut

Whilst I do love wooden stock M14s (and think they should be like that) I think extras are acceptable on the EBR, then again what else do you really need?

True in a way. I can see the target just as easily with the naked eye, but the scope allows for much better adjustment of follow up shots, team identification at a distance and general spotting.

On a SOCOM that can look great, but on a full length it will just look lost.

Personally I don't like the EBR, but then again while I agree with you about bolting things onto them, I don't consider the EBR to really be an M14.
