ICS CXP 15 Handguard jammed on!?

I have an ICS CXP 15 plastic version and i cant get the hand guard off to remove the battery. its completely jammed on and there is virtually no movement. i have fitted it with split li-po batteries which are not technically designed for this gun but seemed to fit fine, however, i now fear that they may have jammed inside and i can't get them out. any advice is welcome. if anyone can supply a replacement hand guard i am willing to buy a new one and cut the old one open.

Be very carefull as you don't want to split the battery or worse, short it out or you could have a fireball in your hands. There is another airsoft website which I can't name who stocks all kinds of ICS parts so you could buy a new guard fairly easily. Just cut it out very carefully and learn a lesson....if it don't fit, don't force it!
