ghillie throwover for my rifle

right, i want to make a ghillie throwover for my VSR 10, what do i use as the base of it? i was thinking scrim net but i don't feel that it's strong enough. any ideas guys?

I use a US net scarf, it's huge and has a US woodland camo print on it. Not sure where in the UK they can be bought as I picked mine up in Sweden.

Scrim will be strong enough i have used it for my sniper rifles with hesian tied into it and has never let me down, or as a base a carp landing net is a very good/ strong netting alternative and big enough gaps to tie stuff in to it. im sure you could find a fishing site/ shop that sell the stuff, but for me, scrim net does work fine....mark

cheers mate, i've got enough scrims to do it then :D i felt like they weren't strong enough but i geuss they'd be good.

They do the job matey....and look quite effective when trimmed up...Mark

I use scrim to base mine... but i already have the rifle covered in fabric tape, with mud, cam cream and allsorts of nasty rubbed in.... that works nicely too :D
