silicone oil?
23 February, 2009, 16:35
ok i dont know if this is the right section but hey
ok so i here a necerity to the toolbox is a bottle/can of silicone oil. ive heard from a few people that you dont need to buy the specific stuff from airsoft sites and you can use any thing. ive been looking on ebay but there are about 129 different ones so i dont know what to get
my m8s dad is a plumber and is getting a big bottle of the stuff and was wondering if something like that would be fine.
also how thin does the fluid want to be?
by the way this oil is going to be used on my GBB and my hop-up in my AEG not really for external use

Re: silicone oil?
Make sure it only contains silicone, and no petroleum based products. The point in useing silicone to help clean in airsoft, is that it wont eat the rubber used in every airsoft gun. Such as the hop up, or o-rings in the cylinder.

Re: silicone oil?
i see so anything with no other products in it? right
they say there are different thicknesses and how thin they are. for example abbey stuff says 35 on it and that is supposed to be "medium" thinness
