  • Rails on a shotgun

Does anyone know if standard standalone rails (single strips) for the G36 will work if i screw it into the underside of a DE M4 super 90
    M3 shorty
    Ruger P-85
    Colt 1911A1

In the near future will be looking to add a few more to the collection, so anyone selling an MP5-K or an M249 drop me a PM

Of course it'll work - it won't stop being rail shaped just cos it's on the bottom of a shottie! Whether you can secure it strongly enough is another question...

I've just fitted a piece of G36 rial (the longer one from underneath iirc) up to the bottom of my TM M3 shorty to see about alignment for you - the holes on the rail match the screws in the pump grip exactly, you might be able to do somethign useful with that.

my friend tried this on his de m4 and the plastic of the gun can take the ris but not the force of a vert foregrip being pulled back so my idea for this is to strengthen the inside of the "pump" with a strip of sheet metal first then try it

Mos Moulds RIS on a TM M3 Super 90. The RIS almost cost as much as the gun!
Get one of these, they are great! If you dont however, good luck with the RIS rail idea.

Does the RIS make the M3 front heavy?

the m4 is a different type of shotgun... as the name suggests.

Yes the m4 is slightly different. I think it has something to do with the top rail and the shape of the neck above the grip

The foregrip pump wont be a problem, im just going to put on a torch for nightime CQB, my worry was that if i shoved a load of screws through the pump, they might get caught on something inside therefore making the gun impossible to pump.

As I have just found out. I did however think it was a direct clone & since clones dont always use the same name or designation can I please be forgiven?

Not that I have noticed mate but when a torch or something else along those lines is added it is slightly heavier obviously

As far as I'm aware, they're the same gun barring the grip and stock... The bloody ugly M3 style pistol grip covers up the true shape of the back end of the gun's body (that's why I'm after an M870 style grip for my TM M3)... Going by that I've seen, the pump/barrel arrangement is the same (though I haven't had a chance to compare them in the flesh to be 100%)... either way it's all academic...
