TM Recoils with regular magazines?

Hi guys, Basically i'm looking into getting a Marui SCAR but I really don't like the idea of spending £20 each on a 82rd mags! So my question is, Can TM Recoils take regular magazines? Do they need a lot of modification or can you buy an adapter or anything like that?

You can get an adapter. But youre robbing yourself of half the fun of the recoil system.

Google "Freedom Art Magpipe Adapter".

As above, you can get an adaptor, £5 is a good price as about £10 plus postage new and for that price its good to have one but as Fenriz has said you are robbing yourself from half the fun, you can get the china 90 round mags for £10 each and they work a treat, also be aware that some mags fall out with the mag adaptors as they dont lock into place as well as the 82 or 90 rounders

As above, plus, is £20 REALLY that much more than the £17 or £18 quid you pay for decent mid-caps?

Use sopmod mags! To be honest, as Rich will always tell you, TM recoil series aren't cheap guns, they cost money to own, not just the initial purchase.

As TRH says, Buy nice or pay twice.

Have to admit, id love to only have to pay £20 for a mag.

Any GBBR or Systema owner will tell you the same! Im rocking £60 a mag for my primary!

Normal midcap = no bolt catch = why use a next-gen sopmod, yes there is still the recoil but.. meh, not the same. the standard mags also feed every bb, so no more peeing bb everytime you reload, where as using the adapter will.

Way to go mate , deffo worth the ball crushing expense of getting the mags ! I run 6 with mine and carry a speed loader and a small bag of ammo (I run .25's in mine , it loves them !)
