Re: Personal/Custom Engraving?
Well I took the plunge and had my PTW done by Keith at Airsoft Engraver. Fantastic job from a bespoke design of mine. He can laser etch and ink now too so I could choose the colour of the print. Choices were Black, Bold White, Red and subdued. I chose subdued to limit how visible it all is from a distance. Results are here but from a crappy phone camera. In real life, they are very impressive. I'd definitely recommend this service.

Re: Personal/Custom Engraving?
Those look frickin' cool Tyreal, they do look like decent engravings. Did you send him the lower receiver on its own and then have it fitted, or did you just send over the entire PTW?

Re: Personal/Custom Engraving?
Been meaning to get a newbie post up to say but just come across this. I have access to a laser at work and have been thinking of doing some engraving but ive been making some custom dog tags for my team at the moment, drew em all up on cad and then laser cut them. Heres a picture, they came out quite well. Oh and stray is my "callsign"

do you mean some sort of stencil?
if so i know airsoft engraver do cut vinyl as he had it on show at the NAE.
either a vinyl cutout or stencil to spray should be doable

Re: Personal/Custom Engraving?
yeah, I was just hoping someone was going to come up with some genius way of doing it without it costing me much. I figure I will just print out what I want and just it out with a scalpel and use a standard brush to dab it on.

Two things when it comes to doing work yourself...
1. You get what you pay for.
2. Your hands are never as steady as you think they are.
From someone who's been there, done that

Re: Personal/Custom Engraving?
Finally got my lower back (not AE's fault, as it had to be sent of for annodising).
Deep engraved Diemaco trades on left side
then sent off for reannodising
then right had side laser etched with the Tier1 logo.
Aparantly the tier1 logo came out white as the laser etching burned away the annodisiing, but not the primer.
total cost - £65
