Looks good to me. I'll bear those in mind when I'm looking for a light for my primary.

Quiet newbie, we're allowed to link eBay. You weren't here when they allowed us to do so.

Re: Whats A Good Bright Torch ?
Well a good torch you say.....
What about a surefire hellfighter;
for one of those "lets incinerate the enemy"moments
On a serious note the Klarus XT20 is just fantastic! (I have three myself I love them that much :P )

Solarforce L2 is an excellent unit. Look up reviews & it's compared with, & in some areas surpasses, surefire units. Loads of drop ins to choose from & sure fire components are compatible. They have a very good throw of light. One word of advise tho' buy from a reputable retailer bcos one or two unscrupulous sellers advertise Solarforce but send you some piece of chi-com rubbish.

Thanks for that. I have purchased the one in the link. I emailed the guy and he says its genuine but just not the 2012 model and its a single mode unit, which I am happy enough with

if you are using it with a pressure pad, you wouldn't want multi-mode anyway.
the way the torch changes mode means that if you released the pressure, just for a second, it would change mode.
annoying at best, dangerous at worst (accidentally activate strobe mode, give someone an epileptic fit)

that depends entirely on the unit and the pressure pad. My klarus XT10 pressure pad has two seperate buttons. One cycles mode and hold for strobe once turned on. So no accidental strobe.

Try not to spread misinformation.
Talking of spreading mis-information, eBay links are allowed but NOT to traders/retailers on eBay.
On topic - As tirabbi says, the Solarforce torches are decent enough but some of the cheaper Chinese ones might seem ok, but I'd question the durability of it. Surefire certainly make bombproof kit, but it's still overpriced and underpowered IMO

Re: Whats A Good Bright Torch ?
I Olight Warrior is great. So are the Klarus torches.
cheap ebay stuff may be bright, but durability and ergonomics are lacking.

This. The cheap ebay torches are lacking in durability, ergonomics, battery life, beam focus and many have a yellow tinge to the light.
But then again it is airsoft and you really don't need something amazing. I'm just a bit fed up with people telling me their element is as good as my Olights and Klarus.
Also watch out for cheap torches Lumen ratings as many are a bit suspect and a few are simply made up. My T20 is rated at 280 Lumens and is considerably brighter than many cheapo torches I've compared it against that have claimed to be 500ish Lumens.

Re: Whats A Good Bright Torch ?
I have an expensive LED Lenser because I need it for another 'hobby' of mine, my mate who only uses his torch for airsoft has a cheap Chinese knock off and it does the job he need it to do.. Light up rooms and disorientate people.
