JG M4 stubby killers
28 February, 2009, 21:39
Hey!
Does anyone have any info about the JG stubby killers? I'm looking for a wee compact gun for CQB thats also pretty cheap. I've seen full metal versions of these go for hardly anything so its tempting.
Just wondering if they are worth the hassel? Never bought a China gun before and it will be Skirmished so I want it to last. Heard some horror stories about china stuff but I hear that JG is the best of the cloners and coming close to TM. This true?
Cheers! biggrin.gif

Yep, and the full metal versions are even better as they have a mosfet fitted - so better trigger response and slightly quicker ROF.

AS above, JG are the only clone manufacturer I trust.
Just a quick warning. Just because it's a stubby killer doesn't mean it'll have a super quick ROF as standard. It'll be the same as any other JG m4, just in a different body.

Re: JG M4 stubby killers
i own one of the these - its pretty good, but the barrel is like 150mm :P so accuracy isnt great. very good trigger response though
but its around 350fps - too hot for cqb!

Clip the spring? Ten minute job that. It's roughly 20fps per coil removed. Very rough guide that, obviously it depends what spring power it is, I based that on an M100, that's the spring I usually get pushing over 350.

Re: JG M4 stubby killers
I'm not really after super ROF anyway, more something that I can easily mod into a Patriot. So its either one of these or a JG M16 but I'd prefer the smaller one so I don't need to hack off an outer barrel and waste it.

Re: JG M4 stubby killers
JG gear boxes are solid, Just keep them lube'd (litheum for the metal silicon for the piston and any plastic parts and they'll handle a 11.1v no issues. When it eventauly wears I'll put some systema gears in but its done 10k + no issues on and 11.1 no problem still kicking about 340 - 350
