what are your favorite things about airsoft?

just wondering what peoples fav things are. i like playing it as equaly as building and "trying" (trying is the crucial word there!) to fix them!
so what are yours?

The tech side primarially, then the whole "realism" thing. I like rifles with good sounding bolts/charging handles, like marui m4s. I will be getting myself a WA GBB M4 someday.

I think I like it as an "all round" kind of sport.

There is the battles themselves, any self respecting man loves a bit of wargames. And some of the ladies too! The skill of the shooting, planning of attacks and the constant sneaking as each team tries to outflank each other.

Back at home, there is the whole mechanical side. Not just knowing all the gun names, but the engineering. Getting the kit right, and the active forums.

Put all this together with some good exercise and a good oppertunity to socialise with others. Makes for a A+ sport.

Just need to convince the girlfriend of this now! lol! :D

Of course not destroyer.
I personally like the chance to run around and shoot my friends when i get quite mad and being able to know all the ins and outs of the guns.

Charges, makes the sport for me Seriously, i love all the kit, and i love being outdoors in all the army kit and such, a half way point between video games and the military. Ok that was a bad analogy but i think you can get what im guessing at. I like having a great time with a generally friendly and sociable group, and messing around with the guns. Never been a tech man really, but i enjoy playing around with the kit, and basically the whole idea of playing cops and robbers essentially, but with rifles :D

i love them alamo momments. You know, its like scoring a goal in the last 30 seconds of a football match to win the game, thats the same feeling you get defending a house until the game is called, when your down to 5 rounds in your pistol and a half mag in your AEG with no battery power left, game is called, and you won, trumph! i love them momments.

i also love gaming in the rain, airsoft and rain, really raining i mean, i love it, gives the whole thing a depths and atmosphere... is that a G36 being fired in the distance or the rain hitting a tin roof?


and from the rain, theres the cleaning, not much for the tech side, don't like going inside gear boxes unless i really have to, but i still love stripping the guns down after a game and giving them a good clean... all except the ak74, the dirtier it gets the more awsome it looks!!

For those of you who play at a site thats shared with paintballers, has anyone ever noticed how the heavy sustained fire of a paintball gun in the distance sounds like the rumble of heavy guns? I love it

Charging Down the quarry road in full battle gear weapon up ready
with sounds off aegs hitting trees and metal sheets in the treeline and pyros going off all around.
