Myself on radio chatting about airsoft.
27 September, 2012, 18:18
Hey guys, was working the Combat Games Society stall at ARU Freshers today and got told by a friend to represent them over the radio, so gave it a shot. Short (and terrible imo, my voice isn't great, have nervousness issues and I'm deaf...) putting a positive spin on combat games, which makes me think about doing another interview in the future describing airsoft in more detail and helping give it some positive media.
http://www.camfm.co.uk/player/player...id=3566&hour=3
Interview starts at about 55 minutes.
Just don't bash me too hard. xD

I could never do that, I'd just freeze. I could maybe get by with a meticulously planned script, with timings, everyone's part, and plenty of rehearsals. Oh, and pre recorded in a room by myself. :D Great job!

Great job on being able to form a sentence mate! I was called up to do a few interveiws on the radio about Care for the Carers. Was so nervous that all I could form was "yes" and "no" answers! Safe to say I wasnt called up for interveiw again. Haha

Re: Myself on radio chatting about airsoft.
Realise I said we had a RIF on the table without explaining what the acronym meant lol, eh live interview.
(As an aside the SU made us tape the poor SCAR to the table not because it was a RIF, but because the LARP society were being morons and swinging their weapons round and they didn't want stuff like that happening with a RIF)
Cheers guys, was nerve wracking waiting for the interview, especially given the light often cast upon airsoft/"guns" and I didn't want to say the wrong thing haha.

I wouldn't worry about that, you said the full name beforehand so I'm sure people would've caught on

Yeah, I had no idea they were going to be pulling that. And when they talked about a load of young guys shooting each other at Lola Los I was mortified, tried interrupting lol but decided to repeat myself would be silly.

"suicidal charges...and a few beers afterwards" haha!
Well done pal - Radio Interviews are not easy to do, I did one on my local radio about Advanced Driving and it was quite nerve racking!
