Who Will Brave The Weather This Weekend?
6 January, 2010, 08:02
Snooooooooooow! :D
Much of the UK is going to be rather buried by the weekend. Although snow games promise great pictures and something a bit different, there is always the down side. Hard to lay down without freezing, very wet and generally rather cold. My local site forcast shows top temp of 0c!
There is also the implications for the weapons. The cold can drastically reduce battery life, also there are reports that last weekend the cold made parts more brittle, and some pistons/gearboxes just shattered!
All things considered, who is still going anyway?! :D

Re: Who Will Brave The Weather This Weekend?
If any of you guys do brave it, be careful on the roads. Many airsoft sites are on country lanes, and considering they haven't even bothered ploughing or gritting the main roads near me, it may well be dangerous. Stay safe guys!

This, we had to pull someone out a ditch down the road from my house, black ice.

I will be going the weather does not bother me, the hardest bit will be getting to the sites as they are in the middle of no where and not likely to have been gritted !!!!!!!
But hey always worth a trip out !!!
Ask about joining the UNIT

Re: Who Will Brave The Weather This Weekend?
The missus and I were just last night discussing going to Eversley. That was till this morning when she decided the weather was too bad to take out her motorbike (Honda Backbird) and take the car instead.
She got 6ft and the snow was so deep the car acted like a snow plough and wedged her in. Two mile walk to nearest public transport (road or rail) so I think it will be a no for us. Seven inches and counting

Re: Who Will Brave The Weather This Weekend?
I am inclined to agree with the guys saying bed etc. But as CAGE haven't oporated my local MOD site in ages I think it shall be another private skirmish on the farm providing my friends (and me for that matter) can get down the lane.
Gangsta lean, it's not all bad...

I will be out, as long as -
1. My lift can get to me.
2. My lift can get us to the site.
3. The site actually opens.

Re: Who Will Brave The Weather This Weekend?
I think Urban in the snow is going to be pretty kick ass this weekend. Albiet, it will be beyond cold. But as with everyone else, this is assuming that I can actually make it there. That road just before Sopely might be a little rough...
