Anyone work at an airsoft field? As a marshall or w/e

Just wondering cause I presume someone on here will be. I just wanted to ask how you got your job there? Also, is a a part time thing or full time?

Well I do the odd bit for our team sponsor...at either AWA Herts of Billericay. I met the guys who run the shop on site at my first airsoft game, got to know them and became friends. They then became team sponsors and so I try and give some back by helping them on site...

For me its a part-time thing is my professional life takes up too much time as it is

It is. I've got a lot of responsibilities at our site, in-game marshal every game, training officer amongst other things, but I'm not employed there.

Depends on the site mate. Two types of marshall, part tme volunteers and paid full timers. My son marshalls at the Mall in Reading and he is a paid marshall but they do have a couple of unpaids there too.

ive helped out at my local site a few times mainly talking photos and just helping out for a bit
also do a bit of player marshalling, i get hit after my lives and put on a hi vis vest and try and help out
you dnt get paid for it volentree

sometimes people marshall as its theire local site so they think it would be good to give something back,others do it in return for free game days or consumables

most people are part time volunteers,, me personally i dont really like marshalling but whilst playing you always have a tendancy to marshall and just point things out only at sites where im known of course... dont actualy think you could make marshalling airsoft only a full time good job but hey could be wrong,,,

Most people are volunteers, Most marshals though give up game time to marshal.

99% end up not playing a game during the day simply because they are too busy watching hires etc.

I Player marshal at MCG when I can get but that is just generally sit on marshal channel and follow shout outs, keep an eye on players etc.
