Radios?
15 January, 2010, 17:54
How common are these in airsoft games? I won't be playing serious games for a while but don't want to be at a disadantage before even starting?
Are they normally team radios? Do they actually broadcast on a radio wave and if so what is to stop people tuning into it?

Re: Radios?
normal radios that joe public can buy at maplins. there is nothing stopping the other team turning into your comms but most sites say that you can listen but not broadcast on other teams channels. Quite common place as they are relatively cheap. As to what radio see the following thread:

Re: Radios?
pmr446 radios like cobra's are what you need. You do get the occasional idiot on the other teams thinking its smart to go on the same channel but its common courtesy not too plus they can be missing out on vital info. Good pair of radios anywhere from 20 quid plus. Make sure they have the sub channels.
