Question for pistol techs out there
31 December, 2012, 15:49
Good afternoon everyone.
I have a Tokyo Marui Desert Warrior 4.3 1911.
Will this guarder slide fit/work with it?:

Thanks all
I will be at the NAE 27th-30th August and replies to messages may be slow, bear with me!

It will indeed.
The only debate is if it has the small screw hole for the guide part on the inside of the slide to attach to, but fairly sure you don't need that for the gun to work fine

Re: Question for pistol techs out there
It goes on the inside of the slide near the middle and keeps the slide better on the frame.

Like I said though, fairly sure it's not needed. From what I can remember I put my hi capa slide on my 1911 with no problems.
Get the TM one from the place I mentioned earlier. Cheaper and it does the same job

Re: Question for pistol techs out there
Yes it will fit, but if you have the cash then get the slide spacer by Tanio Koba. It does help but if you only plan on giving it light use don't worry too much about it.
Also BSB, he is trying to put a Hi-Capa 4.3 slide on a Warrior 4.3 frame, the slide for the Warrior has a different slide catch reinforcement part, which means that without it, the gun will still work but the slide catch will be locking on plastic, not metal. That is the issue I had when I tried it.

Re: Question for pistol techs out there
CK, its inside the standard 4.3 slide already, all you need to do is swap it over.
edit1: ill add a pic as soon as my phone charges a little bit. its a small part held in by a single screw. you have to have it in the slide to use a FW/DW frame i was told by lazouche and mike, back when i swapped my FW slide to a NW one (cost too much :L)
Edit2: sorry if its huge, and its really hard to take a photo holding a slide and a torch...
edit3: its the piece on the left, with the + Head screw in it

You have confused me with FW/DW/NW.
