Re: how do you transport your gun?
That's the thing. The British public have absolutely no gun sense whatsoever.
-They are convinced any automatic gun is automatically a machine gun.
-If a gun is held by a terrorist, it MUST be an AK47.
-All guns are bad, and you must call the police even if you see the vague outline of one.
-Several people have told me that carrying a gun bag in public is illegal.

Pretty poor points you've made there.

Isn't he making the point that OTHERS make bad points through lack of knowledge?
Life is a short warm moment, death is a long cold rest,
you get your chance to try, in the twinkling of an eye,
eighty years with luck or even less.

Spot on UP.
There was a thread here a while ago where someone was convinced it's an offence to carry a gun bag in public.

We get ARU guys playing on our site every now and then. They bring their RS stuff for us to handle/compare. I was willing to be tazered for a laugh but they need to account for the catridges.

Re: how do you transport your gun?
Panoptes, in Britain, can you actually put RS parts of your gun? Carry handles, recievers, etc.

RS part
on
your gun. Yes, of course.
I think a receiver might be an issue though as it's 'pressure bearing'. Sights/carry handles/scopes; fill yer boots.

Re: how do you transport your gun?
I posted a thread a while back about taking AEGs on trains, and what to use etc. Anyway in the end i got a small to medium, plain black rectangle gun bag from an aution site. It turned out it was a chinease copy of a 5.11 bag, called 9.11, which i thort, yeh, as if that aint going to rise suspicion. So now it looks like a music/ skateboard bag, i sewed some music patches over the logo, and filled the space with other patches, now just looks like any other bag.
edit: oh and it fits a full size M4 S system and a G36, and in the other compartment, all the mags. I take a rucksack to fit my other gear in, like tac belt/ knee pads/ batts/ DPMs/ glasses etc, might have to take two rucksacks when i get the RICAS tho :p
I apologize for anything that might pxss you off

Re: how do you transport your gun?
damn, those pelican cases are pricey. they look worth it tho..
and yeah, i've seen plenty of those 9.11 cases here in hong kong at copy shops. they're actually nice quality for the money, and of course they look the shiz.
i use a codura bag, which i carry on the train and on the bus around hong kong. noone cares or looks twice because on a sunday morning there's about 30 other people on the train doing exactly the same thing.
on a weekend morning, and then evening, mongkok looks like it's preparing a mass invasion force. there are literally
hundreds
of guys, and pretty chinese ladies
dressed up in their gear with their bags. but you never
ever
see a gun out of it's case. ever.
