Is it possible to Puchase an RIF if you have a Firearm Certificate?
My friend has a Shotgun License, and He is allowed an RIF. (as far as I am aware of)

Thats Crazy, but I kind of Understand why...
But If I'm a member of site, that means I can Buy an RIF? After all, UKARA is just one way of proving your a legit Skirmisher, True?

Re: RIF's and FAC's
If you are site registered, and they have PLI, and you have played the required amount of games in the required timeframe then yes you can buy a RIF. It isn't as easy as with UKARA, so you'd be best off ringing the retailer and asking them what information they need from you and your site

Re: RIF's and FAC's
The odd thing is I have a FAC and own an AW .308 (a sort of civilian version of the L96) which I use for stalking but without my membership number I couldn't buy the airsoft version even my firearms officer (whos a keen airsofter) thinks its a stupid rule.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should......

Re: RIF's and FAC's
yeah used to be really into clay pigeon shooting but then when I got my FAC I focused on Deer Hunting. Friend of mine manages a hunting estate in scotland so I try and go a couple of times a year.

Re: RIF's and FAC's
flaw in system. any bolt action over 500fps is classed as an air rifle so it can be whatever colour you wish so long as you sign the form :L
