If RIFs were banned, would you continue to play with an IF?
26 January, 2010, 22:32
As the flavor of the month seems to be two tones, and their threat to the sport, I'm interested to gauge just how many of us would carry on playing if we lost RIFs, or the thought of running around with a super soaker would make them call it a day.

No way, I'm in it for the realism and a Super Soaker isn't it!

even though I already use an IF, I might..... the thought of everyone having rainbow guns is just.... paintball?
But seriously, I use a clear bodied gun so it's not THAT bad...... still, it's alot nicer having the majority of players use RIFs.

YAY! Start a poll to give the "Ban them" crowd more ammunition.

Just a side note, I'm not interested in your (or others) moaning as I don't want this thread to turn into an anti two tone discussion, I'm just simply trying to see if the majority of people on here would be happy to use an IF or not should it come to it. We keep hearing that two tones will be the death of airsoft so let's see if the numbers back that up

No way - I'd sell all the gear and go back to air-rifle target shooting.
Not interested in paintball either.

Nope. As I said, if someone handed me a spray can and pointed at my Barretts I'd walk away.
Ammo for the "anti two tone crowd"? We're terribly sorry that we're raising awareness of the goverment's potential ban on RIFs.

I'm torn. I love "the game", but it's all part of the whole thing.
I think I'd solider on for a little bit, lose interest as others did. Would start a spiral which eventually killed airsoft as a sport right back down to hardly anybody.

As of the time I write this, 43% of respondants are willing to carry on with 2-tones. If the HO gets hold of that sort of information, it can be spun that it's suddenly not "essential" to keep RIFs. That's what I meant by the "ban them crowd" - those that want to ban RIFs...
This could be a case of "If you're in a hole, STOP DIGGING!"
