IIRC my M4s manual stated to use .25s i use .2s at the mo (cause i've got a ton). Gonna do some testing with .25s but i'd imagine it's pretty much true, straighter but less range (i use .25s in my pistol, no need for .2s in em).

the heavier the wieght of ammo you uswe the less it it effected by wind etc also if you play woodland you ave more chance of the shots passing through the foliage.
I run .25 in all my weapons as standard but i have also been known to use .28's in my G36c

That's not actually true tho is it? I thought it had been proven a heavier BB on a well set up gun will travel further?

a heavier round will lower your fps and potentialy the range the bb travels

ive now switched to .25 in all my aeg,s yes fps is down but with a good hop range is just as good and alot more hard hitting, as stated before in woodland there alot better

The .25 will conserve more momentum potentially allowing it to travel further than a .2

Exactly what I thougth and was told. Lighter weights just get there quicker (higher fps) but dont travel as far?

Yep, also the wind/resistance of the air, (remember we're whooting through a mass of particles) will slow a 0.2 down quicker.

Re: are 0.25g BBs better than the 020g?
0.25 BBs are better than either 0.23 or 0.20 rounds for a variety of reasons.
Hop has more effect, air resistance has less effect, wind has less effect.
Always go for the heaviest round that a) you can afford and b) your rifle can hop effectively.
/9 out.
