Q's about my Ares/Star AW-338

hello
i just today received my Ares/Star AW-338 from hong kong this morning and i opened it up and all put everything on.

and i noticed a while later that the barrel was loose. so i screwed it in the way it seemed to go and i think its fine. is this normal???

i was also wondering if it is possible to fit some kind of different .50cal flash hider on it? possible???

and my biggest problem...the hop up...
can someone please tell me WHERE THE HELL THE HOP IS!?!?!
i looked everywhere and couldn't find any switch, nob, screw or anything.
PLEASE TELL ME WHERE IT IS! i wish so bad i could change the hop cause the bb's shoot up. and if there is no hop i will be PISSED.

The hop up is on top of the barrel just infront or where the scope would be. I think.

Theres a big guide on another forum about these, may be worth having a read through.

First of all you should really research a gun a bit before you buy it.
The barrels tend to be loose, some come with bent inner barrels.
You can't get a .50 flash hdier for it as its an odd thread + why would you want to.
The hop is located next to the scope mount at the front (i think) via an allen key.

Edit: Since I helped you. Did you get stung with import duties? which retailer did you use?

Same I'm planning on getting one of these Now they are £450 in the uk and work out about £360-£380 from HK posted but if your hit with import duties it could work out more.

yea i got it from HK and it was something like 365 with shipping.
then custems and duties and it was liek 430.
but it took almost a month to get.
i suggest buying one here cause i personally dont think its worth the wait and the risk of damage.

but overall im extremly happy with the gun and totally recomend it.
ill have a look for the hop

Cheers dude, I'll just stick with ordering one from the uk (providing stocks last) with the ares you don't get a scope do you unlike when it was star.

ok new question.
i put a loaded mag in with gas and all and shot a few rounds off perfectly. then i went to cock the gun and the bolt would go all the way and push the bb threw.
i was wondering why this is?
any help will do
