  • Systema Teflon Cylinder

    Hi Guys

Got a question for you lot..
Brand new purchase of the Systema Teflon Cylinder Kit for M4.
I'm installing in my KWA SR5. The Systema piston head is installed on to the new JBU Polycarbonate Piston.

See the lack of compression in the video, is this normal for a vented piston? Just seems REALLY loose in the cylinder..
Don't want to build it up if this is defective.
The cylinder has had a small amount of Abbey Silicone Grease smeared inside and on the piston on ring.

    Advise please?

    Cheers

        Re: Systema Teflon Cylinder

you need your finger over the nozzle to test compression...

          Re: Systema Teflon Cylinder

i can see what youre not doing XD. There isnt going to be any compression, because youre not covering the nozzle..... all the air is just leaving the cylinder as it should. put your finger over the end of the nozzle, and quickly push the piston quickly into the cylinder..... this will "activate" the vented part.....

            Re: Systema Teflon Cylinder

I did try with the finger over the Air nozzel (Just didn't record it due to only 2 hands ) There was still a lack of compression.
I will do another video with my finger over the Air Nozzel ..

Do a test without the nozzle installed first.
Then do one with the nozzle installed.
It will make it easier for us to see the problem.

Nope, it came in the matched cylinder head, nozzle, cylinder, piston head set that the OP bought....

                      Re: Systema Teflon Cylinder

many people overlook the possibility of a leaky nozzle so as above remove the nozzle and test if it is good compression then...you need an oring nozzle even a cheap nozzle such as a dream army double o ring nozzle ive seen them for around 3 quid they work great

It may just be my eyes but it also looks like your piston head O ring sits quite flush in its little gap on the head, to make a good seal with the inside of the cylinder, it needs to protrude slightly.
