I think it's kinda pointless for RS-shooters as it offers appreciably worse performance than quite literally any scope I can think of (the iPhone's zoom is digital, people - you're not getting actual magnification here!) plus it introduces your expensive and fragile electronics to the high-stress environment of firearms.

I think it's an absolute liability for airsofters who might reasonably expect their targets to shoot back. However, I do actually own a ruggedised iPhone 5 case (and the phone to go with it) so if someone wants to me shoot it a few times and then drop it in a sink full of water to cool down, ask nicely and I'll give it a try.
