I don't mean to sound like a dick or anything but I would recommend keeping hold off that cash and wait till you have more for of a budget, like £400, that way you can get a gun and a load of good internals for it in one go.

KJW KC02 (Ruger 10/22) would be a good start.

Agreed to the above, or I personally use a WE M16 for a DMR. I don't think that's in your budget though.

WE SCAR-L and ACM 1-4x Elcan SpectreDr, replace internals with RA-TECH as necessary.

The real steel one? Never tried it.
If you mean an Airsoft version, then it depends who makes it, what internals it has, it's purpose, etc etc etc

Re: Gbbr dmr
Always makes me laugh when people essentially imply sticking a rail and an optic on an AEG makes it somehow a DMR.
Internal upgrades before external accessories, if you actually want DMR performance.

The VFC Scar SSR is meant to be quite luscious out of the box.

Re: Gbbr dmr
I don't know if the OP's making a brilliant decision here; GBBRs by their very nature don't make really consistent guns and DMR/any form of long-distance accuracy relies heavily upon consistency.
That said, I've heard that the WE SVD's pretty hard-kicking. I'm not sure how well-made it is (not well enough, knowing WE) but it is out there, as is their M14.

Re: Gbbr dmr
Indeed the KJW KC-02 is awesome rifle.
Stable fps(for a green gas/propane GBBR), light and customizable.
I have one with the RA-Tech sniper kit.
I'm waiting some custom made parts for and it will be pretty unique!
