Anyone had experience of the STTS hop up?
Is the 7211 or whaatever its called motor (stock 2012/13 motor) bad?

STTS Hops are gash if anyone tells you otherwise they're bullshitting. If you have a PTW and you want a hop similar then you need to get your original hop unit modified to accept the adjuster ring and pins, there's a couple of people around that do this.

The stock motors are ok they're a bit hit and miss I had one last a year others have crapped out on their first outing, a rewound motor is always going to be better but you can use a standard one.

The newer motors (09 onwards) are fine. Alot of the time when peoples motors "fail" its due to worn brushes or a build up of carbon on the com.

As above STTS hops aren't all they are cracked up to be. The stock hops are fine and the 12 onwards hops are event better.

Stock 2012 barrel with a modded Hop will do the job just fine. The KDM hop-up unit (assuming you don't get one of the bad batch they had recently) work nicely as well. My experience with the STTS/MDD Hop-up unit was not inspiring...
