Re: Wood grips for a TM Colt Python
They would not.
Revolvers that store their gas in the chamber, like Tanakas, can accept real steel grips because they make their handle frames to the real steel sizes. Revolvers that store their gas in the handles, like TMs, have a very different handle frame design to the real steel. I'm not sure it would even be that easy to buy some and Dremel them to fit since real steel grips are help together by a screw through the centre of the grips, which in the case of TMs would be right through the gas reservoir.

Carom make TM Colt Python wood grips, rather pricey though. Another option would be to source a very old TM 6" Python and take the faux wood grips from that.

You could always hydrodip some standard python grips into a wood grain pattern bud, although to be honest it would probably be cheaper to buy a carom set!

Normal TM ones are rubberised and replicate Pachmayr signature grips - that (below) in a wood colour would be disgusting! I'm not a fan of the rubber grips, it's a shame nobody else makes any wooden ones.
