ex two tone
5 September, 2013, 14:56
Hi all some post have had me thinking what difrence dose it have a aeg being ex two tone, first of if its bin painted then yes I see the point then that would make a difference in price but I cant for the life of me see how lets say on a m4 you change the handgard and stock ie two tone parts for nice new black ones would still warent it being ex two tone and affecting the price as it's now the same as any other rif.
Thanks sean

Re: ex two tone
Ex two tone normally means that they have sprayed over the two tone colour instead of removing the two tone parts.
One thing that your paying for when you buy a new or second hand gun is the finish, you wouldn't want to pay as much for a car that was green and then sprayed black would you?

Re: ex two tone
Eh?
From what I can gather (Since your post is a bit hard to comprehend) Is why being a former two tone devalues an item? And why you think that rifs with removable parts that have been two toned should command the same price as a RIF?
In my opinion it's because these parts are worthless, and you'd have to buy new parts to give it the appearance you want so why should it command the same price of something that wouldn't require replacement parts?

Re: ex two tone
He is a little difficult to understand, but I think he means if an ex TT had the luminous hand guards and stock replaced with black items, for example, and the gun was now all black, why would it affect the price when coming to sell it?
My question is, why does the OP believe it does?

Re: ex two tone
Think its safe to say an Ex 2tone is a gun that has been painted over to cover the bright colour.
also alot of 2tone guns are often of a lower quality/cost due to the target audience that buys them.

Re: ex two tone
+1 for only ex two tone if its painted over
if the bright parts have just plain be replaced I'd not consider it as ex-two tone.
It then of course becomes "custom"

Not all two tone guns are cheap, I have a full metal ics m4 and I just change out the furniture when playing.

And you have a defence to do that right? Playing in a game isn't a defence unless you can prove you play via a series of pictures and back up from the site or a system like UKARA.
If this doesn't make sense try rewording the post next time. It sounds dodgy.
As for ex two-tone that would be something where the original two tone parts on the gun have been tampered with but not removed and replaced with the correct RIF coloured parts.
