Ideas for DPM Recycled kit - funding an affordable chrono
8 September, 2013, 11:58
Friends, Softers, Countrymen, lend me your thoughts...
I am currently developing a basic chronograph for those on a cheaper budget. It would be nice to raise some money to progress it a little quicker, so I've had a scrounge around for some unused kit. I have about 12 DPM shirts and 4 pairs of trousers going spare. I could try to ebay them or sell them on here, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for things I could make and sell?
I wouldn't say i'm metrosexual, but I know my way around a sewing machine, so things like bb pouches wouldn't be difficult. I'd appreciate any constructive thoughts!
I'm Magic... can't remember why. I just am.

You'd probably be better off putting the time and effort into mowing lawns or washing people's cars. You could probably get a tenner for washing a car inside and out these days.

i've seen a few people make bb bags, basically a como cloth bag but they have sewn the top of a bb plastic bottle at the top ,meaning you get a camo bag with a screw cap, it's quiet (no rattle) and fits in any pouch or pocket because it's soft .easy to make and could be sold for a few quid each, could probably make 10 out of a pair of trousers and collect the bottles out of the bin at you'r local site free.

Re: Ideas for DPM Recycled kit - funding an affordable chrono
Given that a decent chrono can be purchased for somewhat less than £100, I think you may be heading in the wrong direction. Compared to what the vast majority of us spend on guns, BBs and kit, the cost of a chrono is already pretty low. I also wonder how many airsofters actually own or want a chrono.

You can get a brand new madbull version 2 chrono for like £50-60 from eBay, that's what I have and its a decent chrono or you can a get an xcortez from eBay for not much more
