Echo 1 Fat mag. Yes or No?
25 January, 2014, 21:28
Thinking about getting an Echo 1 850rd Fat Mag, just wondering if anyone has had experience with one or heard things from other players. So far I can't find a lot about them.

Just a large hi-cap, looks like a surefire 60 round mag. Nothing much to say beyond that. What gun are you putting it in?

Well it can be annoying to take time to quietly get into a clever position to acquire an objective, to then get spotted as a rental rattles loudly past.

Friend has one to bulky for me and he has to hold it to feed, he likes it but he is very trigger happy. I can imagine it wouldn't look to bad on an m27

If you want a ridiculous capacity get a drum mag, these things are just ugly.

Drum mags aren't exactly pretty either.

Till they make a flash mag in that size don't bother. It's just a fancy upsized hi-cap. I have a friend with a couple, they function fine, but nothing impressive otherwise.

Re: Echo 1 Fat mag. Yes or No?
Get mid-caps.
Afterall, nothing makes you look more badass than a tactical-reload-while-rolling-into-cover-only-to-pop-up and 'cap sum fools, g'!
OT, they work fine, and offer greater capacity. Very awkward to fit into mag pouches (you'll need a single-compartment double-sized pouch to fit one).
They're a good mid-point between a standard high-cap and an unreliably cr*ppy drum mag. If you love full-auto and burning out motors, do it.
