Most customizable m4?
24 April, 2014, 10:22
Hi,
I'm getting back into airosft and looking to get a new M4, I was considering a VFC HK 416. Would it be easy to customise? I want something that has a wide range of modifications and parts available like stocks, outter barrels etc.
Looking around £400 for the m4 it's self.

Re: Most customizable m4?
The H&K 416 isn't an M4. It's a 416 to begin with. Also if your planning on changing so many parts, why go for such a high priced rifle??

Re: Most customizable m4?
1) A 416 isn't an M4, and;
2) A bog-standard TM M4 (not recoil) is the most customisable M4 for airsoft, it's the pattern most others base theirs off, others like recoils, ICS and TWs have proprietary parts.
If you really want the most customisable regardless of price, a Systema will fit the bill but that's because it takes lots of real parts.

Re: Most customizable m4?
As said above the HK416 is not an m4 to start with so is not easy to modify compared to an m4
A good base gun would be something like a G&P sentry or G&P MOE which will set you back £300 new
To be honest any m4 is just as customisable as another unless you buy something like a PTW which only takes mil spec/real steel parts

Re: Most customizable m4?
There are very few aftermarket rails for a 416.
Dytac making a clone geissele rail for the 416, and I hear they don't fit so well.

Re: Most customizable m4?
I'd say a g&p sentry, or a g&g gen3 toptech m4.

If you want customisable and have £400 to spend, how about a scratch build?

Re: Most customizable m4?
For a decent base, a G&G (non-blowback) or G&P M4 is the most logical choice. You also have the ASG Defender range which I hear uses Lonex parts.
If you are aiming to customise I would advise going for the gun with best externals for the price, that way you can just strip the internals and upgrade from the inside out.

G&P Autobot is my M4 base. Rock solid externals including the magpul receiver, pistol grip and stock, and that's your perfect base for internals

Re: Most customizable m4?
+1 for a custom build then you can make it completely your own. When buying all the bits though check there all compatible.
Starting with a good base gun is easier though. That's what I did with my last build. Started with a g&p defender

Then got a short front end for cqb

Re: Most customizable m4?
Nah the shorter non tbb plus not a very good seal in the hop takes it down a fair bit for cqb. The longer front end has a 16" 6.03 in it
