TM m14 gears, metal or plastic?

TM m14 gears, metal or plastic?

quick question
TM m14
are the gears nylon or metal?
going to put an m120 in to run it to 425fps and i need to know if the standard gearset will survive an m120

They are metal.
An M120 wont take you to 425.... an M140 will tho......
If you are putting that much stress on it, you may want to consider upgraded to metal bushings, and perhaps a stronger piston.......

An M120 = Around 400fps depending on make of spring.
M140 = around 465fps depending on make of spring. (M1XX = metres per second, so 120 x 3.3 = 396).
Really for anything over 400 you need to look at aftermarket torque gears.

Did you really mean to ask if the gears are plastic? I want to know where you heard the use of plastic gears :S
All i can think of is the star plastic gearbox.

is that really necessary?
no i intend to use it as a spray and pray weapon and aim for head shots only....
of course its going to be locked to sem, I'm not an idiot

Had this gun a year and havent had the courage to crack the mechbox open yet so theres my inexperience with the internals of this gun showing through, sorry about that
